Worst inflation in 40 years

The inflation numbers just came out and they were bad… real bad.

Worst inflation in 40 years. 

The Euro is behaving like a shitcoin where the devs pulled an exit scam.

The Fed is contemplating a full percent rise in rates next month…

Now… you’d think this would be bad, right?

This is actually why we don’t pay much attention to the news.

The news generally just messes with your head.. But what I’m really concerned with is the REACTION to the news.

So we had terrible, bad, no-good news that we are almost certainly going into recession.

And the S&P 500 went down a tiny bit.

That’s telling us that the bad is all priced in.

Perversely it’s bullish for markets in the short term.

Markets are weird like that.

This is probably a little nerdy for most of you, but whatever.

It’s the “commitment of traders” report that the CFTC puts out for self-described “asset managers and hedge funds”

So they take everyone who is registered with the CFTC as a professional and work out how large their bets on market crashes are.

You can see that the pros, if anything, are worse than retail punters.

The last 5 times the hedge fund guys went short in size it marked a major bottom… which is what it sure feels like to me.

Bottoms feel like the news is just a stream of nasty runny shit.

Like now. Therefore, we are probably close to a short term bottom.

And our best wild ass guess for Bitcoin is still in play, following the exact script we thought would play out.

We are, realistically, 2 or 3 weeks from the final flush that should denote the end of the crypto winter.
